The latest: Somalia deployed additional troops in Beled-Hawo

A new contingent of troops deployed by the Somali government at Dolow airport in Gedo region on Monday has been distributed weapons and deployed to the Beled-Hawo district on the Somali-Kenyan border.

The soldiers, dressed in different uniforms and dressed in green uniforms, are said to be Somalians, Eritrean-trained undercover soldiers, and there have been various reports about their unit.



New AK-47, BKM and rocket rifles have been distributed to the troops and will be deployed along the Somali-Kenyan border in Beled-Hawo.

Tensions in Beled-Hawo district are reported to be on the rise, with troops led by Abdirashid Janan in Mandera district on the Kenyan border. This coincides with the IGAD summit in Djibouti reconciling the governments of Somalia and Kenya, restoring diplomatic relations.
