The motion against the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, which was submitted to the House of the People on the 9th of this month, was postponed after a document signed by 14 lawmakers who described it as fabricated.

The Speaker of the House received letters from an MP Mr. Abdikarim Haji Abdi Buux sent a letter to the Chairman and his two deputies confirmed that the total number of votes cast in the motion is 78 seats, so it is not a parliamentary vote.




“Mr. Chairperson, who will carry out my duties as the Chief Executive Officer of the House of Representatives, confirms the signatures of the House of Representatives, the number of signatures, the submitted proposals for all 92 (ninety and two) if 14 (fourteen) are removed, (seventy-eight). So the number of lawmakers in this proposal does not fulfill this number in Article 92, the second law of the provisional Constitution can be valid for one-third. ”

The House of the People of the Federal Parliament also wrote this letter to the House of the People of the Federal Republic of Somalia that the proposal of the President (09/12/2018) did not meet the constitutional requirements set out in the letter.
