1- That the Constitutional Committee request the Speaker of Parliament to postpone the parliamentary recess and extend a one-month period of hard work to complete the constitutional process.

2- That amendments to the Constitution be prepared, with the Presidency officially submitting the points to be changed, which are said to consist of two important chapters of the Constitution.

MP Mohamed Adan Dahir, one of the members of the House of People of the Somalia Parliament, expressed strong concern about this step, describing it as one that will worsen the political situation in the country.

“The constitution is the supreme agreement of the nation, and it is not a document that can be rushed. Any decision without consultation will harm the future of the nation,” said MP Mohamed Adan Dahir, who demanded that sufficient time and a fair debate be provided that includes all political stakeholders.
