Farmajo arrives in Garowe and has plans with Deni




The former president of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and his delegation arrived today in Garowe, the capital of Puntland administration.

Farmajo and his delegation were welcomed at the airport in Garowe by Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and various officials of the administration, and they were taken to the Presidential Palace.

The former president of the country and Said Deni are starting to hold meetings, at a time when the political tension over the amendment of the constitution is intensifying and is still stuck in Villa Somalia.

According to our information, Farmajo and Deni will discuss the political and security issues of the country, and the controversy over the review of the country’s constitution, which both of them are against.

Deni and Farmajo were very far apart politically when Farmajo was involved in Villa Somalia, and the president of Puntland was one of the men who fought hard with Farmajo, and finally removed him from Villa Somalia.

As previously reported by Garowe Online, Farmajo is currently trying to persuade Said Deni to form an opposition political coalition against the government of President Hassan Sheikh, which is led by former President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed.




The two men are currently united in rejecting the plan to complete the constitution led by President Hassan, and this is the point that is believed to be the beginning of the alliance between the two parties.
