Is Somalia benefiting from a tripartite coalition of Egypt and Eritrea against Ethiopia?




A tripartite meeting between the Presidents of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Eritrea Asias Afwerki and Egypt Abdul Fattah Al Sisi was held yesterday in Asmara.

A joint statement issued by the governments of Somalia and Egypt stated that issues related to regional stability, security cooperation in the Red Sea and Babu Al-Mandab were discussed together.

This conference came as the diplomatic tension between Somalia and Ethiopia is intensifying, and relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea have deteriorated.

Somali Times has already announced that Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi and Isaias Afwerki will establish a tripartite alliance that unites the countries of Somalia, Egypt and Eritrea.

The purpose of the alliance to be established in Asmara is a regional alliance that is important for the balance of the situation in the Horn of Africa, which is currently in a serious crisis.




So what unites these three countries?

The importance of the meeting is related to “how to prevent the greed of Abiy Ahmed”.

“Both countries believe that Abiy Ahmed’s internal problems should be transferred to Somalia or Eritrea.”

Somalia also wants, how to prevent it from happening “every desire of Ethiopia to get a sea from its land.” .

“What Somalia wants is to prevent the agreement and the desire of Ethiopia to go to sea.”

“The essence of the meeting is the military cooperation that the three countries have established and the purpose is to put pressure on the Ethiopian government.”

The military cooperation with Eritrea is part of it, which may anger Djibouti, which is still tense on the border with Eritrea.
