Kenya president says Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda troops will remain in Somalia

Kenya president William Ruto said Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda troops will remain in Somalia, who is going to pay their salaries.

The President of Kenya said the Kenyan troops in Somalia will remain in the country longer than the scheduled reduction of ATMIS troops. President Ruto said that the front line countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia have decided not to lose the achievements.

“We have decided that we are the frontline countries – to stay on this course. We consider it necessary to go through the reduction schedule, so that we do not lose the gains we have achieved,” said Willian Ruto.

The Kenyan president said this in an interview with France 24 television, and he vowed to fight against terrorist groups.

ATMIS has started to reduce its forces and the Kenyan government has said that it is afraid that the Al-Shabab group will take over some of the areas invaded by the ATMIS forces.
