Somalia, the Minister of State Mohamed Ali Haga, held a press conference, as a representative of the parliamentarians and officials of the federal government from the northern regions of Somalia, especially Awdal region.

Minister Haga spoke strongly about the political movement that Muse Bihi started in Awdal region, and the minister also sent a strong message to the commander of the Ethiopian army, in response to his statement.

The minister said that Muse Bihi’s administration has started to suppress and arrest the elders, journalists and anyone from Awdal who is suspected of opposing the dangerous plan of Muse Bihi to give Ethiopia land, the sea.

“Last night in the town of Elsheikh, the people who refused to go there were arrested by a committee appointed by warlord Muse Bihi Abdi to implement the agreement that he gave the sea and land to Ethiopia,” said Minister Haga.

The minister also said that the people who lived in the areas they represent are feeling the greatest oppression, after they rejected the plan to transfer the Ethiopian troops to the Somalia territory, he also said that the Ethiopian troops are patrolling the area.

“Don’t do what you fought against the people, you are aware of what followed you in Gojacade and Las Anod, don’t do what you lost in brotherhood by force, stop what you are doing,” added Minister Haga.
He called on the people of the northern regions of Somalia to tolerate Muse Bihi’s occupation, promising that the government of Somalia will stand by them and closely monitor their activities and support them.
Somalia’s security minister also said that the commander of the Ethiopian army claimed that if the Ethiopian army leaves Somalia, the government will collapse, and he sent a strong message.
