According to information obtained by Somali Times, the Somali government last night ordered airlines not to carry Speaker Abdi Hashi Abdullahi.

Last night Abdi Hashi Abdullahi sent a letter to President Ahmed Abdi Karie (Qoor Qoor) informing him that he was on his way to Dhusamareb to attend the conference, which he was not invited to, and was scheduled to leave today. However, Abdi Hashi missed today’s meeting and did not leave Mogadishu.

According to information obtained by Somali Times, the planes received a government order from the Somali Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, which was then shared with the country’s airlines.

Members of the Upper House told Somali Times that the speaker also did not receive a response from President Ahmed Abdi Karie (Qoor Qoor) and felt unhappy with President Farmajo’s participation in the Dhusamareb conference. Some airlines told Somali Times that the order was received last night and they have complied with it.

Abdi Hashi insisted on attending the conference to represent the northern regions in the talks, although he was not invited.
