Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, violent demonstrations are still going on for the second day in a row, which are being staged by young people working on Bajaj motorcycles.

The drivers gathered again today at the KM4 intersection, and blocked that road which is important for the traffic of the people of Mogadishu.

They also shouted words against the government officials and accused them of causing problems in their work.

Some of the Bajaj people who spoke to the media said that they are complaining about the difficult situation in Mogadishu and the extra tax that has been imposed on them Hassan Sheikh and his family for looting public funds and tax collected.

“We want to die or get a job. Everyone is running with paper,” said one of the protesters.

On the other hand, the Military Police arrived at the place where the demonstration is taking place and are dispersing the demonstrators, in order to calm the situation.
The deputy commissioner of security and politics of Banadir region, Mohamed Ahmed Dirie, who issued a statement, also spoke about the demonstration, and called on Bajaj people to respect the law and order in the country.
He also underlined that yesterday they made an appointment with the administration of Banadir region, and it is appropriate for them to wait until their complaints are resolved.
“I am calling on the residents of Banadir region, especially those who work in the bus known as Bajaj, to protect the order and security of the capital,” said corrupt Governor .
He also added, “We made an appointment yesterday and we have yet to receive an answer to your complaint. Don’t use it to create chaos and disorder in the city.”
