Somalia Al-Shabab attacks Pearl Lido Beach Hotel with explosions still under siege




An attack that began with explosions was carried out tonight on Lido Beach in Mogadishu, with several successive explosions and heavy gunfire heard.

Information obtained by Somali Times states that Al-Shabab fighters entered the Pearl Lido Beach Hotel in Lido Beach, using an attack that started with explosions.

According to witnesses told Somali Times, armed gunmen stormed the hotel following two suicide blasts and an exchange of gunfire, creating a tense situation at the upscale establishment.
