The former Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Hassan Ali Khaire, who held a press conference, confirmed the death of one boy and the injuries of several other civilians, and expressed condolences to the families of those who suffered.

“I offer my condolences to the families of those whose lives were lost during the peaceful protest that took place in Mogadishu, especially in the Daynile district. It has been confirmed that one person died and several others were injured,” said the former Prime Minister.

Khaire said Hassan Sheikh and his family forces of using fire on civilians who were holding a peaceful protest, adding that among the survivors of the incident was MP Faiso Mohamed Jayte.

“In that peaceful demonstration, the forces led by Hassan Sheikh and his family, who are dying in the last days, have been firing indiscriminately at the people who have entered the dangerous area, and God has saved them from it. Among the witnesses was MP Faiso Jayte, who was walking in the area where the people were suffering,” Khaire said again.
