Corrupt Somali President Hassan Sheikh is expected to travel to Turkey today, as Somali Times has learned.

The corrupt Somali president’s trip comes after receiving an invitation from his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan is making efforts to mediate between the leaders of Somalia and Ethiopia, in order to end the diplomatic tension between the two countries.

President Hassan Sheikh has repeatedly refused to meet with Abiy Ahmed, defying efforts by regional leaders to arrange a meeting.

Hassan has previously stated that he will not meet with Abiy and Ethiopian leaders until the Ethiopian government withdraws from the Mogadishu peace agreement with Somaliland.

The Somali president’s stance on meeting with Ethiopian leaders has not been seriously changed, as sources say that he will meet with Abiy in Ankara, and it is being closely watched to see how things will unfold.
