Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Roble and spy chief Fahad Yasin.




Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has fired the director of the Somali National Security and Intelligence Agency, Fahad Yasin Haji Dahir.

Prime Minister Roble has temporarily appointed Brigadier General Bashir Mohamed Jama “Bashir Gobe” as the new commander of the Somali Correctional Forces. Bashir Gobe also served as NISA commander, Prime Minister Roble ordered Fahad to hand over power to Bashir Gobe within three days, from the moment Roble signed the letter.




Prime Minister Roble said in a statement that he had used Fahad’s suspension in accordance with Article 13 of the constitution, which deals with the right to life, which could be interpreted as blaming the killing of Ikran Tahliil Farah.

He also uses Article 127 of the constitution, which calls for military neutrality, and said Fahad has become involved in politics, especially in electoral matters.
