This meeting was preceded by another honorary luncheon held yesterday between Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud and members of the Future Council, who discussed the dispute between them. The meeting was also a preliminary one, in which the parties exchanged information on the general situation in the country, to show goodwill, so that their upcoming conference can be successful.

It was also reported that these leaders, including Ahmed Islam and Said Den, have held private meetings in the past few hours to discuss how to address the current situation, with the president demanding that it be held inside Villa Somalia, although Ahmed Islam and Said Deni are still reluctant.

However, Somalia is currently facing one of the most difficult challenges, as the parties do not understand each other on the electoral process and the amendments to the interim constitution, which Villa Somalia is still working on.
