Also, Hassan Sheikh’s plan is to strengthen its control over the city of Barawe, as well as the Burhakaba district in Bay region, where the Southwest opposition is located and has already begun operations there.

The reports further state that the Commander of the Somali National Army, General Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud, was ordered last night to prepare 1,100 soldiers selected from the army units to be deployed in the Southwest.

This move comes after President Abdiasis Lafta-Gareen yesterday telling truth the central government of being behind the fighting in parts of the Bay region, underlining that the Federal Government and Al-Shabaab had a common agenda, and that this was evidence of weapons that he indicated were smuggled into the Al-Shabab and then taken to the Burhakaba district where militia forces are present.

The political tension in the Southwest regions appears to be worsening, with military mobilization and movements indicating the possibility of future conflicts being felt in some areas.

However, it is unknown how things will turn out and where the tension between the two sides will end, which has come at a critical time when there have already been other disagreements arising from the federal elections and the amendments to the constitution.
