Ahmed Madobe was elected by Jubaland MPs to lead them for a third time

Ahmed Mohamed Islam was elected for the third time as the leader of the Somali regional administration of Jubaland, after an election that took place today in the city of Kismayo, the capital of the Lower Jubba region.

Ahmed Madobe appeared in the first round of the election and received 55 votes, according to the chairman of the Jubaland House of Representatives.

The results of the election are still known, and Ahmed Madobe competed with only two candidates, namely Abdi Hajin who got 16 votes and Abubakar Abdi Hassan who got 4 votes, which were only a victory for Ahmed Madobe.

The re-elected president, Ahmed Madobe, who made a brief speech at the election hall, thanked the elected members of parliament and promised to continue his work.

Also, when asked about the recognition of the federal government, he indicated that he does not need anything from the central government, as he said.

The Federal Government was also absent from the Jubaland elections, which has an impact on the elections, and has already said that it will not recognize the administration from there, blaming President Ahmed Madobe.
