1. Absence of Puntland State Government:

The fact that Puntland is still absent from the Consultative Council shows the lack of trust in the Council and that the presidency has taken a decision against the federalization and democratization of the country, ignoring the concerns of the State Governments, politicians and stakeholders.

2. Suspension of the Constituent Assembly:

The suspension of the consensus constitution has caused the loss of legitimacy and the cooperation of government agencies. It was expected from the meeting to return to the constitutional system that was agreed upon, and it is unfortunate that the country’s leadership continues to carry out perverse plans that reflect their own interests, which worsen the political crisis in the country, and weaken the government and the rule of law.

3. Preventing State Government Elections:

Stopping the state governments from holding elections, while the deadline has expired, is a political hijacking that threatens the process and stability of the country at the Federal and State levels. The president, who was the guardian of the Transitional Constitution, should encourage regional governments to operate without legitimacy, is leading the country to political uncertainty and darkness.

4. Non-Constitutional Prior Treaties:

It is surprising that the old unconstitutional agreements that failed are still being called for implementation, which means that reality is being ignored.

5. Process of Person and Voice Elections:

We strongly warn against the inconsistent electoral process that emerged from the unfinished meeting of the National Consultative Assembly. The election system that the President is engaged in proves his selfish interests that are further alienating the Somali people, and it is clear that the election process is being diverted from the proper process to hold transparent and trustworthy elections.

We urge all the politicians who are interested in the elections and the Somali people to unite in order to restore the country to the laws and cooperation of the government institutions, and to prevent the challenge facing the government and the unity of Somalis.
