Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh convened an emergency meeting of the Standing Committee Members

Somalia President Hassan Sheikh has called an urgent meeting of the Standing Committee of the People’s Assembly of the Somali Parliament, together with the Speaker of the Assembly, according to Somali Times.

It is reported that the president will discuss with the committee and the committee’s several motions that have been submitted to the House of Representatives in the past few days, which have caused serious concern to the corrupt president.

He is also expected to discuss the debate on the security and immunity of the remaining officials in yesterday’s meeting, with many MPs scaring the government of taking away their immunity including serial killer Somali spy chief Mahad Salad.

As many as 122 parliamentarians yesterday signed a motion on the country’s security situation, which argued that it is important to talk about the country’s security, as the country’s situation is going through a dangerous phase.

As many as 122 MPs agreed to the motion when it was put to a vote of their hands, who voted for it to be debated.

President Hassan Sheikh is reported to be very worried about the country’s security motion, which could lead to the overthrow of the government and the country to enter into chaos while fighting against Al-Shabab.

It is not clear what the president will discuss tonight with the committee and the standing committee of the People’s Assembly, but he is expected to ask them to consider this motion.
