Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit the Somalia early in the new year 2025. Erdogan will also visit the Ethiopia, after he recently brokered an agreement to end the high tension between the two countries. Erdogan’s trip to Africa aims to ensure that Ethiopia has both sea and land from Somalia territory.

“I will visit Ethiopia and Somalia in the first two months of the new year 2025,” Erdogan announced in a statement, referring to the recent agreement reached in Ankara between the Corrupt Somalia president and the Ethiopian prime minister.

Somalia and Ethiopia have agreed to end the nearly year-long dispute between the two countries after hours-long talks led by President Erdogan, who described the agreement as historic. Erdogan’s trip to Africa aims to ensure that Ethiopia has both sea and land from Somalia territory.

The dispute between the two countries began in the first month of this year after Ethiopia signed an agreement with Hargeisa administration to gain coastal land and a military base, which strongly opposed the federal government of Somalia.

Since then, Turkey has been making great efforts to bring the two countries together, in order to resolve the conflict between them, which had reached a high point, and finally on the 11th of this month, it succeeded in reaching an agreement between the parties.

The Turkish president held direct talks with the corrupt Somali president and the Ethiopian prime minister, which ended the year-long dispute between the two countries, which once almost led to violence.
