The presidency of Puntland issued a statement from a meeting between president Said Abdullahi Deni, his deputy, the speaker of the parliament and former leaders of Puntland and the federal government.
The text shows that Said Deni is ready to continue the war and conflict between the federal government after being re-elected on January 8th 2024.

The statement contained two articles, one of which said, “The conference calls on the Federal Government of Somalia to discuss the fate of federalization and the completion of the Federal Constitution of Somalia, and suspend the ongoing steps until it arrives.”

The surprising thing is, that Deni and the former leaders of Puntland are still visible in the conflict between Puntland and the federal government, but they have not said a word about the most important issue in Somalia today, which is Ethiopia’s desire to seize part of Somalia’s land and sea.

A meeting was held by the Puntland Presidency in Garowe with the President of the Puntland Government Mr. Said Abdullahi Deni, the Vice President Mr. Ilyas Osman Lugator, the Chairman of the Puntland House of Representatives Mr. Abdirisaaq Ahmed Said, the former Prime Minister of Somalia Mr. Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, the former President of Puntland Senator Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamoud Farole and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia Ambassador Ahmed Isse Awad.

The conference analysed the security and political situation in the whole country of Somalia, especially Puntland, and it came out.
1. The conference calls on the Puntland communities to strengthen and work together for the unity, peace and governance of Puntland.

2. The meeting calls on the Federal Government of Somalia to discuss the fate of federalization and the completion of the Federal Constitution of Somalia, and to suspend.
Puntland administration said that the leaders and institutions of the federal government do not have the power to change the system of the central government which is the shady President Hassan Sheikh and the Prime Minister and the structure of the government which is established in the constitution of the country.
